Sri Lanka has a natural beauty that speaks volumes. Not only does this country have strong diversity and heritage but it also has the greatness of its people who show their pride through various events and festivals.
When vistiting Sri Lanka there are many things to see and many places to go. Some of the sights which should definitely be seen include:
- Adam's Peak is one of Sri Lanka's foremost pilgrimage sites. The soaring summit bears the impression of what is said to be Buddha's own footprint and the views are truly spectacular.
- Ella is Sri Lanka's most beautiful village. People are able to walk amongst the surrounding tea plantations and once again the view to the plains below is absolutely incredible.
- Sigiriya is Sri Lanka's most remarkable sight without a doubt. The towering rock showcases ancient graffiti, elaborate water gardens and a giant lion statue.
- Yala National Park is Sri Lanka's most popular and rewarding national park. It is the home of birds, monkeys, crocodiles and elephants, as well as the island's largest population of leopards.
